Following our “rock licking” experience at Meyer Family Vineyards, I introduced fellow wine bloggers Gloria Chang (@IMBIBEandSAVOUR) and Lesley Trites (girlonwine.com) to the newest winery in Okanagan Falls –Liquidity. Unfortunately we had a fairly tight timeline but we made the most of it. We were greeted on the crush pad by winemaker Matt Holmes. He gave […]
Stacey's dad surprises us again with another bottle from his collection. This Burrowing Owl Merlot 1997 we found after finishing the Burrowing Owl's 2004 Pinot Noir. This wine has a "closed" intense flavour. A short finish, but a glorious experience on the palate. Spice on the nose, good tannins but very smooth. Stacey felt that […]
Quinta Ferreira are quickly gaining a lot of fans, and BC Wine Lover is sitting up and taking notice. The Black Sage Bench winery just south of Oliver has produced a very inviting Chardonnay that is ready to pour now. It has a lovely, rich, gold colour. This is oaked Chardonnay that is very mild. […]
Very dark cocoa, nice legs. Hint of vanilla on the nose, not too fruity. Beautifully balanced tannins – "hits all four corners". Gorgeous silky finish, no bitterness. Definitely something to drink now, but probably would keep for a special occasion.

The Gewürzt we tried was a nice pale yellow colour. There was a hint of citrus/grapefruit on the nose, and was also quite citrusy on the palate. We noted […]
A very nice Blanc which we indulged in buying more than one bottle of, when we visited Wild Goose this summer. I found this wine had a tartness with hints of grapefruit that went well with the dip we were eating. Stacey didn't find it as citrusy as I did. Creamy finish on the palate, […]
Sometimes a picture can say so much more than words, and this shot taken at our patio table in the backyard really sums up this beautiful Rosé. I often struggle with Rosés, not knowing if they're pretending to be reds or whites. This wine from Naramata's Hillside Estate practically taunts you to not like it. […]
