Sumac Ridge have a great selection of very reasonably priced wines. We are always highly satisfied with their products and love to keep them on hand.
The Gewürzt we tried was a nice pale yellow colour. There was a hint of citrus/grapefruit on the nose, and was also quite citrusy on the palate. We noted a slight bitterness on the finish (like the pith in grapefruit). We could also taste something more tart…green apples? We couldn’t agree what it was, but we still enjoyed this wine. We found that the wine had a mild acidity and a long, looong finish. Good for having with a starter to get things going.
