Fine wine, good eats in the Fraser Valley
Last year we dubbed the Fraser Valley wine region as the Fauxkanagan, and love the idea of wine touring in our own backyard. Well now they’re putting on a big show that we want to tell you about…
The Fraser Valley Wineries Association will host their First Annual Wine & Culinary Extravaganza in Langley.
Date: Saturday, September 6th
Time: 2-5pm
Venue: High Point Equestrian Estate Community
Tix: $50 + tax (available at www.fvwa.ca)
This event brings together the best of country life – local wines, alongside local food prepared by local restaurants, complemented by live entertainment.
In addition to the 12 wineries that will be pouring their recent releases, nibbles and bites will be provided by: Bacchus Bistro, Coza! Tuscan Grill, Gone Crackers, Hazelmere Golf Club, Krause Berry Farms, Origin Organic Farms, The Seasonal Experience, Vista D’oro Farms, Westham Island Herb Farm, and more.
This event provides the perfect opportunity for communities from the Lower Mainland and beyond to come together and take in all that the Fraser Valley has to offer. Bringing to the table his warm melodies, BC guitarist Jesse Burch will set the tone for an afternoon of fine wines and farm-fresh food, all under a tent overlooking the scenic landscape of High Point Equestrian Estate Community.
Keeping with the theme of supporting the Fraser Valley community, partial proceeds from the First Annual Wine & Culinary Extravaganza will support Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities (PRDA) in Langley.
The Fraser Valley Wineries Association is pleased to be able to donate partial proceeds of the Wine & Culinary Extravaganza to this exceptional local charity. For more information on PRDA, visit www.prda.ca.
